#Jriver media center 20 windows 10 cant play dvd drivers#I don't seem to be able to get a reply from M2Tech so wonder if anyone else has recently had similar problems - and even a solution! A troll of the Internet, including this site, suggests people had this problem a couple of years ago and it was solved by M2Tech's latest drivers but this does not seem to be working for me. The new system with which I am having the problems is a very recently purchased HP TouchSmart 310 with AMD Athlon X4 processor, 8 GB RAM and 120 Gb SSD containing the Windows 7 64-bit operating system that I had hoped to give state-of-art performance! It will still not output to my speakers using Foobar etc. Strangely, the HiFace now does output to my external DAC (DEQX HDP4) and so play music though my external speaker system but only when I first go into JR Media Center after rebooting and then it will play a single album, even successive tracks - but if I try to change albums, with or without stopping playback of the first album, the system again hangs/freezes again requiring rebooting. #Jriver media center 20 windows 10 cant play dvd driver#At one point the PC crashed and went back to the basic operating system with a warning message saying it could be a driver conflict. The problem even occurs when I use the test signal in Control Panel/Sound/Hiface/Advanced/Test. It is not just related to JRiver Media Center as the same problem of the PC hanging/freezing also occurs with MediaMonkey and Foobar when I output through Hiface - though they all work perfectly when outputing through the PC's internal speakers. I have also spent most of today again wrestling with this problem and have found the following. ![]() Most importantly after I manage to get the PC to recognise the Hiface & its drivers, when I try to play music files through the Hiface using JRivers Media Center, even though the JRivers works well with the computer's in-built speakers, it always hangs/freezes with the Hiface selected as the output option of JRivers despite which other options I choose - kernel streaming, WASAPI and WASAPI Event.Īny help would be much appreciated - I have spent over a day of my time trying to solve the problems, including an Internet search that suggested these problems should not occur with the currently available drivers. I have been using very successfully for 2 years or more your original Hiface on a Mac Mini G4 and Windows XP lap-top but am having major problems with a recently bought dedicated PC using Windows 7 64-bit. As below in quotes from emails sent to Marco at M2Tech I have recently purchased a PC with Windows 7 64-bit to replace my aging Mac Mini G4 with OSX10.5 and HP Pavillion laptop with Windows XP, both of which worked fine with my best-yet sounding USB-SPDIF converter, an original Hiface with AQVOX power supply - but the Hiface refuses to to work properly with the new PC. ![]()
